Specs for HM: Animal Parade - Dhang - 11-14-2013 Hi, I'm planning to get a new laptop with the following specs. Wonder if I can play Harvest Moon: Animal Parade with it. Don't expect to get full smoothness but at least I hope it won't lag horribly. Any help/advice will be appreciated. Thanks! ![]() Operating System: Windows 8 CPU: Intel Core i5 3317U Processor (Turbo up to 2.7Ghz, 3M Cache) GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GT 740M with 2GB DDR3 VRAM RAM: 2GB DDR3 RAM RE: Specs for HM: Animal Parade - admin89 - 11-14-2013 Approximation: 15 FPS ( Or even less) 2.7GHz ? Where did you get that number ? Maybe it's a typo See your CPU basic info on official Intel website http://ark.intel.com/products/65707 And don't even hope your CPU can boost up to 2.6GHz . 2.6GHz is single core turbo mode , 2.4GHz is dual core turbo mode . If you're lucky , you can get it running at 2.4GHz because ultra low voltage performance is a hit and miss .Otherwise , it will stay at stock speed or even lower http://www.notebookcheck.net/Intel-Core-i5-3317U-Notebook-Processor.74464.0.html My advice : Please don't buy a laptop that has ultra low voltage CPU for Dolphin , don't buy an ultrabook because Dolphin will dry it soon . Get sth better (better cooling , better processor) like a gaming laptop . You should tell us how much money you can folk out |
