I have one of those, i wouldn`t recommend it, the ddr3 makes it slower than it should be

get a 6670 (gddr5) instead, or a nvidia card, if you plan to use dolphin, better compatibility.

Radeon 6570, the one the OP is asking about.

rokclimb15: On Windows, just any but the Software one. This bug only appears on linux.

RE: Graphics Card good for dolphin??? - rokclimb15 - 09-14-2013

Thanks! So that's a 200-series GPU bug with OpenGL?

RE: Graphics Card good for dolphin??? - NaturalViolence - 09-14-2013

It's not a bug. The backend works fine it just doesn't perform particularly well. Most likely the drivers just aren't as well optimized as they could be.

RE: Graphics Card good for dolphin??? - degasus - 09-14-2013

It's more weird that this is only on linux. So the driver for nvidia 200 gpus is more optimized on windows. But newer ones seems to be absolute equal on windows vs linux....

That wasn't the case for me. My GTX 260 ran dolphin painfully slow on windows or linux with openGL. Even at 1x IR there were slowdowns. d3d9 and d3d11 however performed as they should.

Oh and I'm going to change my budget to anything under $105

RE: Graphics Card good for dolphin??? - rokclimb15 - 09-21-2013

That CPU is going to bottleneck before any decent graphics card with Dolphin. I'd stick with something in the $50 range since it won't do much good for Dolphin. For PC games you might get more performance out of a better card.
