Warning: Can't Create Opengl renderer - Brian10122 - 07-28-2009

"Warning: Can't create opengl renderer. You might be missing some required opengl extentions, check logs for more info"

so I open up extentioninfo, which I believe is the log, and it says this

Unhandled Exception
Code: 0xC0000005
Call stack info:
ntdll!0x77A9A7FC : RtlDeleteCriticalSection

Unhandled Exception

I click OK and it boots into a grey screen and stops responding.

I set my configuration to dual core

My specs are:

AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual-Core Processor 6000+ 3.1GHz

2.87GB RAM Memory

NVIDIA GeForce 6150SE graphics

Windows Vista Ultimate 64 bit

RE: Warning: Can't Create Opengl renderer - Mkilbride - 07-28-2009

GeForce 6150 SE is barely a GPU, it's a graphics solution, and as such, is not enough for this this, or any game really. Even 2001 games struggle on that card, or so Benchmarks say.

Yup, Mkilbride is right, u have to buy a newer vidcard Wink
Try GeForce 9600+

in other words, your card supports opengl 2.0, but dolphin requires 2.1. u could use the dx9 plugin, but its old and outdated, since all work went into the ogl plugin due to it being more widely supported. my recommendation, get a cheap gfx card that supports at least ogl 2.1 and put it in yourself, its very easy to do.

I am having the same problems. I am currently using a GeForce 8800GTX (786 MB) and is currently running Windows 7 x64. I have tried everything and constantly reconfigured my settings to see if anything worked, but nothing worked. In my log, it says:

28:47:051 N[BOOT]: Saving Settings to ./User/Config/Dolphin.ini
31:07:968 N[BOOT]: Loading Settings from ./User/Config/Dolphin.ini
31:08:996 N[BOOT]: Starting application
31:09:380 N[BOOT]: Loading Settings from ./User/Config/Dolphin.ini
31:09:387 W[COMMON]: IsDirectory: stat failed on ./USER/WII/TITLE/00000001/00000002/CONTENT: The system cannot find the path specified.

Also, both graphics plugins dont work, and I installed VC+ Dist 2008, updated my graphics driver to the latest, and installed Direct X from Mar 2009 (latest). Can you please help me? If you can, it'd be awesome. Thanks in advance!
