metroid other m - DennistheII - 06-05-2013

there's some kind of texture error. half of samus's suit is black, solid black with no texture to it at all. and this only is in regular play everything looks great in the cinematic parts however. any help would be great. I'm playing the latest build for osx.

my specs are; intel xeon 3.33, 12 gigs of ram, ssd drive and nvidia gtx 470 card.

Use the download button at the top of the forum to download the latest development version. Your profile says that you're using 3.5-367, which is old and was likely downloaded from an unofficial Dolphin site.

For future reference, if you have issues relating to a specific game, please use the official game threads in the Game Discussion forum. We already have a thread for this game; you can find it here: http://forums.dolphin-emu.org/Thread-wii-metroid-other-m--25927

About your problem, can you take a screenshot of the issue? Additionally, we'll need to know your Dolphin settings. Post those as screenshots as well. Generally, the most relevant graphical settings are the General, Enhancements, and Hacks tabs in the pop-up window that appears when you click the Graphics button in Dolphin.

EDIT: And yes, as SS pointed out, use the latest revision from the official website.

Thanks. Sry about posting here, thought support would be the spot. First time posting here. I will try updating the emulator first.

The lighting issue you're experiencing is a long-standing one that only occurs on Nvidia cards under OS X, and it's been fixed in development builds past 3.5-1025 (because the whole goddamn OpenGL backend's been rewritten).
