FPS / Speed issue - rorocwalker - 05-21-2013 Greetings, I have a problem using the emulator. It seems like the FPS needs to be 60 for the game speed to be at 100%, so anything lower than 60 FPS reduces the game speed, making the game unplayable and not to mention it is most likely, by logical means, going to de-sync any other players (online). Is there a way to remove the game speed. Excuse the lack of knowledge I have regarding emulators but why can't I simply play at, for instance, 40 fps at full speed? I don't want the game to try and balance it for me, just let it be, I don't mind playing at 40 fps. Is there any known fixes? I looked in the options and I failed to find any intergraded speed hack. -Thank you RE: FPS / Speed issue - Anti-Ultimate - 05-21-2013 No, the games were programmed to run at 60FPS. If they slow down, they also run slower on a real console. RE: FPS / Speed issue - rorocwalker - 05-21-2013 (05-21-2013, 06:30 PM)Anti-Ultimate Wrote: No, the games were programmed to run at 60FPS. Also, I just tested with a friend on Netplay on SSBMelee that disabling disabling Dual Core fixes the desync and enabling it causes it. Although, when we're playing with Dual Core, which desyncs us, the game plays at, let's say 45~fps, I get about 70s~80s% Speed yet, it appears to be running at 100%. It doesn't apply the speed, it simply plays it at the FPS generated without slowing down the speed, thus meaning, there's probably a way to make it work like that without desyncing or disabling Dual Core (which causes an insane FPS drop). Oh, another thing we just tested. We re-enabled Dual Core but this time the host(my friend) put ''Buffer'' from Netplay to 60 instead of 20. It fixed the de-sync, our FPS and game speed were perfect but there's a 0.5 delay sort of speaking in our movements, anyway to fix this instead (as it fixed the rest of our issues), so we can go on from here. RE: FPS / Speed issue - admin89 - 05-21-2013 i3 530 support overclocking , why don't overclock it ? Once you hit 3.6GHz or 3.8GHz , most game should run well Edit : Ah never mind , you run game with single core mode (dual core is disabled) Quote:Is there a way to remove the game speedNo but there is a way to increase % speed : _Right-click the game -Properties - Tick "Vbeam speed hack" and untick "idle skipping" We call that as Vbeam trick RE: FPS / Speed issue - rorocwalker - 05-21-2013 (05-21-2013, 07:00 PM)rorocwalker Wrote:It seems the Buffer had to nothing to with it. We re-put at 20 but we chose another map that kept my friend and I at the same FPS, we didn't de-sync.(05-21-2013, 06:30 PM)Anti-Ultimate Wrote: No, the games were programmed to run at 60FPS. So what I can say is that when we chose a map that decreases our FPS drastically, it desyncs us, therefore keeping HIGH FPS and game speed works perfectly with netplay, regardless of Dual Core being enabled or not. Which leads me to think that...maybe if there wasn't that speed % thing, it wouldn't desync us, we would just be running at a lower fps than usual.. Once you hit 3.6GHz or 3.8GHz , most game should run wellI'm not experienced enough to play with overclocking, especially using stock fan cooling. Also, I don't see ''Vbeam speed hack'', I see ''MMU speed hack'', I won't take the risk to assume you meant that though. Is there a way to remove it, I don't see it's utility tbh. |
