Xinput/0/Gamepad does not show up. - Lyonize - 05-21-2013
When I go to the GCPad configuration, the only available option is DInput/0/Keyboard Mouse. I have tried restarting my computer and refreshing and Xinput/0/Gamepad still does not show up.
I am using an xbox 360 controller and I have installed the proper driver. The controller is plugged in and turned on so that the light next to "1" is glowing solid. Still, I am unable to configure the gamepad for the Xbox 360 controller.
Suggestions?

Upon further research, I have fixed the problem. For whatever reason, the controller will not work when plugged in with the recharge kit cable. Instead, I am using the xbox 360 wireless receiver.

So when you use a cable that doesn't work, and, in fact, says on the packet it doesn't work, it doesn't work, yet when you use the correct device, it does? Intriguing.

The wireless 360 controller does not use the recharge cable for data. It only uses wireless for data. For a wireless 360 controller to work on PC, the PC must have a wireless receiver connected.
