Current price=$376.96 RE: Building new low budget pc - CacoFFF - 07-24-2009 Anything using a low power sempron with a good onboard card will do the job. My bro built some time ago a pc like this: AsRock motherboard with chipset nForce 400 (GF 6150) - 30 bucks, maybe Sempron LE 1150 (2.0ghz, kicks some pentium 4 ass) - should be around 40 bucks 1 or 2 gb ddr2 ram, your choice. - 15 to 40 bucks You have plenty of cash left for the case + power supply + dvd + hard drive. Does the computer on the link come with a screen? Size might be a problem. Use it sometimes to read email, web surf and also let the kids use it to play Flash based internet games. I would not OC it though, so if that is not a problem for you then you should give it a shot (or the Dual Core version) as they are pretty cheap and the performance is perhaps better than the older Pentium 4 / Athlon XP CPUs.
