Baseline Rig Parts for Dolphin-For Newcomers - garrlker - 05-15-2013

Many newcomers to the forums ask "Can X run dolphin?" and most are told that some games will run but the only option they have to get full speed on every game is to build their own pc. Everyone on the forum recommends an i5-3570k with a gpu that can get atleast 3xIR. That will get you full speed performance, but for people that don't have a lot of money to put down and need some base rigs that can give decent performance here are some parts. I plan to expand onto this a lot more when I have more time to, but for now I hope it helps newcomers with a cheap baseline build for dolphin. Also, anyone is free to criticize and throw in better parts. I only had 30 minutes to work on this today so I probably missed a few deals.

$300 Rig
Pentium 2020 CPU $65
NZXT Source 210 Case $35
Cooler Master Elite 460 PSU $40
4 GIGS GSkill Value Series RAM $30
Asrock Motherboard $50
Sapphire Radeon HD 6670 DDR3 GPU $65
Toshiba HD 500Gb $50
Total $335
The case and GPU both have mail-in rebates that are worth $30 in total so the cost of this rig in all in $320 which isn't too high over. With this rig you're still getting a category(for more information head here) 2 cpu with a low-mid tier GPU that can play most games in 2xIR. It is by no means a gaming beast, but it can get the job done.
Edit: Swapped some parts. The rig is now at $305 with rebates.

Make the first paragraph the same size as the last paragraph.

...why?

I can't read it on my iPod Smile, and I bet many people who want to read this will be using a mobile browser.

At least get Sapphire 6670 GDDR5 , it's just a few dollars more and you can play game with 3xIR
Swap that crappy Intel mobo (bad review) with a B75 mobo (Gigabyte , Asrock...) . H61 = Sandy Bridge , B75 = Ivy Bridge . If that Intel H61 has bios update for Ivy Bridge , you can use Ivy Bridge G2120 on it otherwise hell no...
Since I bump up GPU and mobo price , I will have to swap G2120(80$) to G2020 (65$)

Why can't you read it? it's the same width/margins just longer.

He fixed it. And it looked different on my iPod.

i personality consider $500 bracket a baseline build.

swap process & mobo to 3570k (220) & AsRock Z75 pro 3 (84.99). which should be 173 $ more overall but much better overall.
throw extra money into a hyper 212 evo & paste

My main goal was to at least have a pentium cpu since they are essentially a i3 without hyperthreading. This was as close as I could come to $300 with the little time I had yesterday to do this.

I plan to add a $500 build to this as well.
