Hide mode not working? - craigrobbo - 05-12-2013
Hey guys.
I am wanting to play metroid other M, When I last played it I used the hide function and assigned it to a button through xpadder, but now It does not work.
I have tried using without xpadder and just assigning hide to a keyboard button but it simply does not do anything.
The default for Other M is it wants the IR not to be pointing at the screen for 3rd person mode, its as though dolphin thinks the IR sensor is NOT pointed at the screen (permanently hidden)
As of right now I don't have Xpadder installed(fresh install) and am just using dolphin as per standard setup.
Any help would be appreciated.

That should help. Also, you really shouldn't use Xpadder for button binding. Just set it up with the emulated wiimote config.

I think my post was a little lacking in information.
I use Dolphin to set all my key binding for my 350pad I only use Xpadder to act as a toggle for hide mose so I don't have to keep my finger on the button.
It works perfectly in Dolphin 3.0, but not in 3.5

I have the same identical problem
the hide button does work in Dolphin 3.0, but unfortunately Other M is not working properly. Differently, Other M seems to work good in Dolphin 3.5 but the hide button is not woking in this latest version... Is anything I can do?Thanks

Are you trying to make it hide when you press it or don't?

I followed the guide suggested at the top of this thread by MajoR: the controller it is always hiding (using the !not before the button name in the config) and when I press the button it should not. It is correctly working in Dolphin 3.0 (just tested) but not in 3.5
I presume it is a bug of the new version of the emulator, isn't it?
