Super Mario Galaxy Problem After Updates - spooky655 - 07-23-2009

Having Super Mario Galaxy working perfectly, but searching for something to give it a bit of a speed boost, I updated Direct X and my video card (NVIDIA GeForce Go 7600) driver. Unfortunately, now I am unable to load in-game saves without crashing when I have it set to 2 cores. 1 core works fine, and 2 cores worked fine before. With only 1 core I get from 10-20 fps on average, which isn't enough to play smoothly. Anyone know why Dolphin crashes?

Also, I used to get a bunch of errors (still after updates), but now it simply turns black, stays around 60 fps, and doesn't do anything.

are you using save-states or game-saves?

In-game saves. Save states don't work at all (and never did) so I can't load them to bypass the menu.

Setting watchdog to 60 seemed to fix it. I think my GPU or CPU was getting out of sync. I now get ~15 fps at galaxy select place, 40-60 fps in cut scenes, and 20-35 fps on the good egg galaxy.
