Controller Issues, need help! - Evernear - 05-03-2013

Need Help, My Logitech game pad is being recognized incorrectly. when I push button 1 it maps as button2, when I push button 4 it recognizes as left bumper. Is there a fix for this issue? I've tested the controller in the test program and all buttons work correctly there.

Show us what your GCPad (or Wiimote) config look like. And explain a bit better what's exactly going on

So to be a little more clear on what the issue is... My controller buttons are numbered 1 - 11. 1 2 3 4 are like a b x y. So what happens is when I go to controller config and try to map each button to a number value, I press "Detect" and when I press number 1 on my game pad the "detect" shows up as though I'm pushing number 5 on my game pad which is the left bumper. No matter what I do I can't get the "detect" to register the proper buttons. I know that the controller is fine and the buttons work perfectly for everything else.

Weird. If each button is detected as [x + 4] try to map each button with [x - 4] Tongue . If there are 11 buttons use button 8 for button 1, button 9 for button 2, etc

Does this happen to be one of those gamepads with a switch for DirectInput or Xinput? That may have something to do with the numbers not matching up, if you don't select the type that matches the switch position you want to use.
