Is my PC too slow to run Resident Evil? - AznSensation92 - 05-02-2013

Specs (Gateway NV53 - X15-53758):
AMD Athlon II X2 M300
4 GB RAM
ATI Radeon HD 42
Windows x64

Dolphin 3.5 x64

Trying to run Resident Evil at a decent, playable speed. Right now it currently can play all FMVs at a frame rate of 40-45. I haven't changed any of the settings for the emulator except for DSP in audio (switched to DSP HLE emulation). Everything runs fine up to the point of first running around in the mansion. I get an FPS of 15 at best. Suggestions?

Even a core i7 @ 2.0GHz is considered as slow CPU for Dolphin , Athlon @ 2.0GHz is much slower than that
You should check Dolphin CPU requirement
Nothing you can do now , get a better PC

I've used the M300 Athlon laptop a long time ago, there is no way anything is going to run well on that. The HD4200 is horrible as well.

Moreover you didn't choose "light" games. RE games are very demanding. And too much for your CPU of course
