Xtreme is the type of game abuser that ruins things for the "normal" players and makes it harder for them to play the game the way it was intended to be played. Once someone who can do something about this gets wind of what's going on, the game is going to have to change drastically to stop the item scammers. Something like this could completely end the trading and selling of items among users and would force everyone to only buy directly through Steam. It's a shame actually.

I don't think valve will change this much. Xtreme2Damax has given them a tonne of money, and all he has taken from them so far is download bandwidth. It will be a long while before valve loose out, and so few players will actually turn a profit from this that they'll earn money from people who think they'll turn a profit.
