It must be some incompatibility issue somewhere... I could reformat with Windows 8 Media Center while Microsoft still issues valid keys... Though I hate it from the bottom of the heart, I already have bad experiences from Windows 8. Admin89 uses Windows 8 and Optimus as well without many problems, maybe if I follow the same way as admin89...(12-29-2012, 08:04 PM)Diathorus Wrote:Then it may simply be bad luck and Optimus doesn't like Dolphin out of all the programs you run. Not sure what the developers can do. If PCSX2 can use it, then Dolphin should be able to as well.(12-29-2012, 10:18 AM)nintendo_nerd Wrote: How long have you had your laptop? There might be a defective GPU at hand and might need an RMA. Even the most stubborn Optimus GPUs should swap to the nVidia side by making a profile. It works with other programs, and PCSX2 uses the GPU perfectly. It cannot be defective. RE: DOLPHIN and NVIDIA OPTIMUS - dEnigma - 12-31-2012 Well, you could also try to reinstall your current OS. I doubt installing Windows 8 would fix any issue that reinstalling wouldn't fix. If it's from the manufacturer's site, then I wouldn't be surprised if that's giving you trouble. It could be that Windows 8 doesn't like Optimus, and besides, I see no clear advantage that 8 has over 7, so if you have the installation disc lying around, I'd fall back to Windows 7 instead.(12-30-2012, 03:13 AM)nintendo_nerd Wrote:I did notice that it worked one time in the past... RE: DOLPHIN and NVIDIA OPTIMUS - admin89 - 12-31-2012 I had some problems with windows 8 as well Dolphin,PCSX2,PC game - Directx11 didn't detect Nvidia GPU on windows 8 . I was forced to play Shogun II with Directx9 , the graphic is so ugly compared to dx11 but i don't want to go back to Windows 7 lol I was able to use dx11 2 or 3 months ago because recent version of NVIDIA's drivers fixed that issue on windows 8 RE: DOLPHIN and NVIDIA OPTIMUS - Diathorus - 12-31-2012 (12-31-2012, 02:50 AM)admin89 Wrote: I had some problems with windows 8 as welladmin89様, You have Windows 8 installed with 310.70 drivers? Did you install Intel drivers apart, or use the ones together with Windows 8? RE: DOLPHIN and NVIDIA OPTIMUS - Diathorus - 02-08-2013 Installed WINDOWS 8. Installed the latest drivers supplied by nVIDIA. DOLPHIN DirectX9 / DirectX11 plugin(s) work perfectly and recognize the driver. RE: DOLPHIN and NVIDIA OPTIMUS (Resolved) - admin89 - 02-08-2013 Congrads !
