Why would you even think that the official builds are "awefully unstable"? And doubting that the builds are optimized for SSE is a silly thing to do, since it is clearly stated in a number of places that Dolphin requires a CPU with SSE2 support. You would think a CS major would reflect a little more on what he/she is about to say instead of just blabbering along. Do they have some wizards/developers we don't know about that work on the stabilization of our development versions?(12-28-2012, 04:50 AM)dEnigma Wrote:Oh, I don't know maybe because it says ""Warning! RE: DOLPHIN and NVIDIA OPTIMUS - Starscream - 12-28-2012 I think it's pretty obvious that emucr just compiles builds and that the Dolphin download page is done by the developers. If it's a matter of trusting a random site build or something the developers actually put out themselves, it's a no-brainer. RE: DOLPHIN and NVIDIA OPTIMUS - nintendo_nerd - 12-28-2012 ........ Aaaand I'm going, going, going, gone. RE: DOLPHIN and NVIDIA OPTIMUS - Diathorus - 12-28-2012 Now, now. What relationship does this arguing have to my original post... To delroth and nintendonerd; thank you for trying to aid me, even though it didn't help. I hope this issue's resolved one day. Did you try all of those things and if you also tried something else, what did you try already? Also remember that your personal settings are lost when you completely reinstall the driver, that includes the settings for Optimus. You could also try renaming the Dolphin.exe into something like codSP.exe or some other game name and see if this forces it to use the dedicated GPU. P.S. Quote:cleaning registryI hope you mean manually cleaning your registry and not just running one of those registry cleaners. edit: One more question: Is your Dolphin located on a removable drive, because that might cause problems. Just entered regedit and looked up the registry settings for nVidia Optimus, forced another directory for Dolphin but didn't have any use(12-28-2012, 05:21 PM)Diathorus Wrote: Now, now. There might be a defective GPU at hand and might need an RMA. Even the most stubborn Optimus GPUs should swap to the nVidia side by making a profile. Not sure what the developers can do. If PCSX2 can use it, then Dolphin should be able to as well.(12-29-2012, 10:18 AM)nintendo_nerd Wrote: How long have you had your laptop?
