Overheating -> GPU clock speed go down , Turbo Boost will be disabled -> CPU run at base clock or even slower -> Dolphin run slow
Most multi-media laptops are not capable of running Dolphin for a long period of time
Most multi-media laptops have single fansink while gaming laptops have big-dual fansink
Aftermarket Thermal Compound (gaming laptop) is much better than OEM Thermal Compound (multi-media laptop)

You got a 64-Bit OS so you'd better use a 64-Bit version of Dolphin

Guess Big Grin .
You'll get slowdowns due to CPU throttling. If you notice this check your temperature. If it's too hot stop playing to avoid the worse for your system

RE: Laptop - Rhonee - 12-27-2012

How can I prevent this to happen?

RE: Laptop - Rhonee - 12-27-2012

And anyway?
Is there a way to help the computer it heats up?

RE: Laptop - DefenderX - 12-27-2012

Well, you could apply an aftermarket thermal compound (Arctic Cooling MX-4)

RE: Laptop - Rhonee - 12-27-2012

How?
There's another way to cool the computer?

I've just answered to you.
Try also to make pauses while playing. Don't play too long Tongue .
It's a laptop. There aren't a lot of things you can really do
