Try the official Dolphin 3.0 (without any number behind)
Don't know what cause the problem to you but i was told that an i5 2500k (stock) could run SMG LLE full speed all the time with LLE - Dolphin 3.0
Enable "DSP LLE on threads" also make use of the third core

...That has to be bull**** then. Because if that was true then I'd obviously be running SMG at full speed easily with 4.5

Goddammit, these damn CPUs are never enough for Dolphin. I've upgraded twice to run Dolphin without any problems its getting VERY frustrating.

xcyper, you are doing something wrong...I am getting fullspeed with only i5 2400 3.1 ghz which cant even be overclocked...
Look at the screenshoots I made in the thread admin linked...then post same screenshoots in the same places here lets see what kind of perfomance you get..you should obviously get more then I..

For example, when Mario is standing on his starship I am getting around 85 fps with LLE and 95 fps with HLE. ( with framelimit off )
What are you getting there ?
You should get more then me.
If you are getting more, then please show me the place in the game where you get 50 fps yet at starship you get almost 100 fps.
If you get less them me at starship, its pretty clear something is wrong on your side

Well this is LLE on my pc, latest dolphin revision 3.0-911.

It's default settings, without vbeam enabled. With vbeam enabled, I get 80 fps.

Its clear something is wrong on your side, posible your pc or your dolphin settings.
Can you post screenshots of all dolphin settings ?

Also, how far are you into the game ? I havent seen night time ever when Mario is standing on the ship.
Can you post a screenshot when its day, like on my screenshoot, just in case to remove any differences ?

Also, this is latest dolphin. I get even better speeds with 3.0

RE: Last story Lazulis City 30 FPS - rpglord - 12-24-2012

Well, first of all, use directx9 not 11, since directx9 is faster.
With LLE you should use LLE on thread.
Also try to enable "vbeam" in game properties ( when you right click on a game name )

RE: Last story Lazulis City 30 FPS - xcyper33 - 12-24-2012

It absolutely refuses to stay above 60 frames per second right here: http://img651.imageshack.us/img651/5229/82076737.png

What frames do you get right here?

RE: Last story Lazulis City 30 FPS - rpglord - 12-24-2012

You gonna have to either send me your save, or use save where its day.
We cant test like this, when its day for me and night for you Smile
Also either use 3.0-911 or 3.0 so we can test on same version

RE: Last story Lazulis City 30 FPS - xcyper33 - 12-24-2012

Ok better... I switched to DX9. I checked the game all the way to its lowest settings. Now I'm going to turn the notch up and see where it begins to fall off.
