Sometime i record game at 80-100 FPS (Yugioh Duelists of the Roses -PS2 & Yugioh 5d's Master of the Cards - Wii) If a game is designed with 60FPS max , recording at 30FPS will be halfspeed Fraps is the best software for me RE: How to run SSBB at full speed in 1080p when fraps is recording - LaViel - 12-22-2012 Quote:If a game is designed with 60FPS max , recording at 30FPS will be halfspeedI set frameskipping to "1" on Dolphin so as to avoid that problem. And I'm not recording videos at 60 fps anymore because their file sizes will be very large. 30 fps is enough. If there's no sense in using Fraps, what software will you suggest for recording videos? I have seen one of the users who is using such method to maximize video quality. This is actually really common for bypassing youtube's braindead encoding methods for low res videos. It's basically required for videos of older consoles like nes, otherwise it'll look like absolute shit. Wouldn't that make it look blurry because it's not at native resolution and is being stretched/enlarged ?(12-22-2012, 08:22 AM)greatbrian2 Wrote: Youtube supports up to 2048x1536 (~10 Mbps), so you can simply resize the 1080p video to get better quality. And no, it'll look way better because youtube is retarded. See http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Syo5sI-iOgY . Watch in 240p vs original. Granted, the differences here is far bigger since snes is such low resolution, but it still makes a pretty significant difference to go above 1080p.(12-22-2012, 03:20 PM)gjfklhg Wrote:So are you saying record your footage in 1080p and upscale when you encode it to the max resolution? RE: How to run SSBB at full speed in 1080p when fraps is recording - Shished - 12-23-2012 Wait, but dolphin-emu has internal recorder. Video Setting --> Advanced --> Dump Frames. in user/dump/frames you will have framedump0.avi file that is *full speed* record of your gameplay but without sound. While recording game may be slow but in video is not. To dump audio goto Audio --> Dump Audio checkbox. Then audiodump.wav file be available in user/dump/audio. Do not need to use fraps. There is however a fix for it at http://tasvideos.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=12601 RE: How to run SSBB at full speed in 1080p when fraps is recording - Shished - 12-23-2012 Quote:Dolphin's video and audio dumper are both horribly broken. I tried to make few videos with lates build from master branch and it sounds and looks good. I am using Linux and dont know how it works on Windows. You'll get full speed record and its will be better than record from fraps. BTW, you should try .kkapture . |
