[at a native 480p] - admin89 - 12-01-2012 Emulation Speed -> CPU job Graphics (480p/720p/1080p) -> GPU job But CPU must not bottleneck (pull down) the GPU and GPU must not bottleneck the CPU Fast CPU (i3/i5/i7 @ 3.0GHz or higher) + Slow GPU (Intel HD 2000/3000/4000) -> Bad ending Slow CPU (i3/i5/i7 @ 2.5GHz or slower) + Fast GPU (Nvidia GT 630M ,640M, 650M....) -> Bad ending Fast CPU + Fast GPU -> Good ending For example : i5 430m and a Radeon HD 5650 -> Show CPU + Fast GPU i7 2620m + HD3000 -> Fast CPU + Sh*t GPU i7 2670QM + Nvidia GT 540M -> Fast CPU + Fast CPU but all of them are craps atm Listen to DefenderX's advice "Why don't you buy a gaming laptop with new Ivy Bridge CPU?" and buy a laptop that has either : _i5 3210M , Nvidia GT 630M / 640M /650M _i7 3610QM / 3630QM , Nvidia GT 630M / 640M /650M then again , you should list the games you want to play . Seriously , you just waste your time since there are alot of demanding GC games : Metroid Prime , Fzero GX , Baten Kaitos + LLE .... And how much you gonna spend for laptop RE: Can these laptops run dolphin emulator ? You shouldn't go for the first because it doesnt have dedicated gpu. Like I said, second option is the best. RE: Can these laptops run dolphin emulator ? [at a native 480p] - enajor66 - 03-09-2018 I got Super Smash Bros Melee running on my hp elitebook 6930p with a core 2 duo and intel gma 4500mhd graphics at playable speed. I just enabled all the hacks and set 2 frameskip on dolphin 5.0, and it ran at 30fps with no stutters on battlefield and FD, 2 players (I dunno and don't care about the rest) RE: Can these laptops run dolphin emulator ?
