Dolphin however is only programmed so far to use two of those cores at most. There's various reasons for this as can be found by searching the forums. RE: Hi.. How can i speed up my program? - DarkWolf - 07-15-2009 in the futuer its will be an option to play with quad cpu? RE: Hi.. Personally I think it's unlikely simply because there's no big benefit to splitting threads over more than 2 cores. To quote myself from another thread.... Please remember that emulation is a lot more complicated than PC games, it involves having to translate a LOT of instructions and data into something your computer can understand and then executing those instructions. PC games just have to execute themselves. RE: Hi.. How can i speed up my program? - DarkWolf - 07-15-2009 ok get that.. RE: Hi.. How can i speed up my program? - THELUKESTIR - 07-15-2009 Keep in mind quad core still works ^^ If you have a quad core i bet you have one that is at least 2.6 ghz per core... this is definately enough to run dolphin.. just look in the game discussion forum and look for the game you want... there is a lot of these threads and they will tell you which settings are best! however for better performance turn AA and Filtering options down ^^ RE: Hi.. How can i speed up my program? - DarkWolf - 07-15-2009 THX dude. RE: Hi.. How can i speed up my program? - Gleasonator - 07-15-2009 Emulating a GameCube over more than two cores would slow down emulation. I'm using an Intel quad core at 2.83MHz, however, and most games are running at great speed. |
