The reason why I won't go for a gaming laptop is that it is not practical for me to be carrying around a 3kg+ laptop with me almost everywhere.

I can have an aftermarket SSD in a Pro and switch out the superdrive for a HDD though.

There are SAMSUNG Series 7 (Gaming laptop with dual fansink , Weight : 2.4kg ) i7 3615QM + NVIDIA GT 640M .Not only it cost less than Macbook Pro but also it has light weight and much better performance
