wii os - digyen - 03-31-2009 Hi there, need help trying to install a wii os onto dolphin. i have been informed that you have to rip it from your own wii, but been unable to do this.(Help would be aprecitated) also i have read that it has to be a certain version is this true?? also des anyone know where i can download this os of the internet??? thanks in advance for help RE: wii os - envisaged0ne - 03-31-2009 Asking for help with your own Wii OS is ok, but asking where to download it will get you in trouble. Read the rules for the forums. RE: wii os - thegamefreak0134 - 03-31-2009 In order to run your WiiOS, you'll need to dump and extract your NAND memory from your Wii. I've written a comprehensive guide to doing this here. Note that once you actually have your NAND dump, you'll need to convert your SysMenu to a .wad file to load it, and I haven't been given the go-ahead to link to the tool to do this. Theoretically, you *should* be able to just exit any Wii game via the Home menu and return to the Wii OS, but that doesn't seem to work like it should. (That may vary, I'm using 3.3U and it doesn't work, earlier sysmenu versions might actually load this way.) -gamefreak |
