doeas anyone else have the problem that in the beginning the game says there's not enough free space on my Wii and you can only continue with auto-save disabled? (PAL version here)

nah, I got it now. It's in fact the virtual Wii data space that has come to its limits -_-
I backed up my Brawl save data (which is biiig) and deleted it and after that, Rock Band 2 saved without a problem (only Beatles is still bi**hing but that's a known issue)

For me it goes up to where it says "loading" at the beginning and then I get a black screen.

there is an option in dolphin that makes this game crash at the beginning as you said, try different configurations

it doenst need anything special, by the default config you wii be fine, just check lock thread to core and iddle skipping

Thanks for info channjose, more slow and variable speeds, in game (38, 28...), down screens by configured in revision 4999 x86 (best tested in my dolphins):
