RE: Mayflash releasing new GC-USB adapter in May - Mideel - 07-27-2012 I keep hoping for a fix but I haven't heard back from them in awhile. Sent them an email a couple days ago to check in on progress and they promptly ignored me. Try sending them an email. Maybe if more people make them aware of the issue they will start taking it seriously. Its possible they can make a drive hack. They are aware of the issue and working on it. Or so they say. if they released the source code for what they have we could make it work.... The irony is my code is open source and they could download it and see how its done. To be honest its not all that hard. RE: Mayflash releasing new GC-USB adapter in May - linkinworm - 07-29-2012 http://code.google.com/p/x360ce/downloads/list could something like this not be used to make it think an xbox360 controller is being used? RE: Mayflash releasing new GC-USB adapter in May - Mideel - 08-07-2012 Finally received this reply back after sending Mayflash a few more emails: "We are working on this issue and the solution will be come out at the end of this month. Please contact the distributor which you bought for replacement by then. Thanks" That is the exact quote including grammatical errors. So it looks like a fix is coming. I emailed them back asking if this meant it was a software/driver fix or if it was a hardware problem that needed a new unit. Didn't receive a response yet. Here's hoping it's a driver fix because I'm pretty sure I went past the return timeline waiting for a fix.
RE: Mayflash releasing new GC-USB adapter in May - ulao - 08-08-2012 I guess that depends on what issue you want working. According to there blog - Plug and play, no need for drivers this implies no driver any longer. - Two simulatenous controllers supported this is a firmware change - Runs on Windows 7 this is given now that they are using a driver-less HID Seem my comments in bold. There is also some talk in this thread about slider issue, and that is also a firmware change. RE: Mayflash releasing new GC-USB adapter in May - surtrafl - 08-09-2012 I recently bought one, the first day I plugged it, and win7 64 bits recognized it, but as all of you, the L and R bumpers were always "on" for the GCpad plugin. Also when I plugged a second gc controller, the controller went crazy! it swapped buttons and went to no trigger some of them. Second day, I connected the adapter to keep reserching, and... it didn't worked. Windows will not reproduce the pop-up device connected sound anymore. RE: Mayflash releasing new GC-USB adapter in May - ulao - 08-09-2012 You guys will be much happier with the HID driver device. Unfortunately you would have to RMA that old one, unless they provided a way to upgrade the firmware? RE: Mayflash releasing new GC-USB adapter in May - MuckYu - 08-10-2012 I'm looking for a gamecube to usb adapter. Is this one worth it or are there better products out there?
