wii mote sensitivity not right 64 bit? - ulao - 04-17-2012

So I just upgrade to windows 7 64 and downloaded the recent version of dolphin 64. I noticed the sensitivity is horrible. Knowing what I do I figured it was my bar or bt but as it turns out its ok when I boot back in to 32 bit.

I also tried to run dolphin 32 in the 64 bit os but that does not load ( dx errors). Maybe there is a way to test that? I'd like to know if the issue is os related or dolphin related. The issue is quite noticeable.

Now here is the kicker. If I get closer to the bar its fine... Again, 32 bit no issues. This is only on the 64 bit build.

thoughts?

Are both builds running off the same User directory?

No they are in their own folders.

ah, try running the 64bit build off the User directory from the 32bit version or make a copy of the 32bit User directory into the 64bit.

Ok for those that are interested and for people doing searches here was my issue. I have a 25 foot usb cable and as most of you know the limit is 15 feet. At the end of this cable I use a hub and my BT is attached to it. I only use belkin hubs because I know they will work ok with longer cables, most cheep hubs will not. I wanted to upgrade my hub from a 4 port to a 7 port and that fixed my issue. Since the issue was only relevant on 64 and not 32 I figured it must have been driver related. Though its back to working up to 8 feet again thx to swapping out the hub.

I have the same problem actually with my Wiimote+Motion Sense and my wireless sensor bar. The sensitivity isn't correct in the 64-bit version.

Just thought I'd note that you're not the only one having this problem. It's not game breaking, but it's annoying sometimes.

Did you look in to my suggestion?

I no longer feel the upgrade hub is working, I think it was a a mere fluke. There is sometime about the 64 bit build that the 32 bit does better. It could be an OS thing as well but its not dolphin settings.

This is now fixed as the latest download 3.0-682
