AMD optimized ICC? - Akatsui - 04-15-2012

So, I've found out that DefenderX favors Intel64 which probably is the cause of my end result with his build having horrible audio and FPS on my machine.
So I found a 64-bit AMD ICC build, a rather old revision though... 489 or something.
It crashed quite frequently in Tales of Symphonia and the Stable 3.0 release, or for that matter, any other release by anyone has had slightly less FPS than that build.

Is there a more stable AMD optimized build around?

EDIT: It was Vlakipin's AMD build.
EDIT 2: The build rev. is 413.

My /favor:INTEL64 builds are ONLY for Intel-CPUs... No surprise, that you get horrible results as you have an AMD CPU. Just try my Dolphin ICC Builds - They're optimized both for Intel and AMD.

Okay, I'll give them a try! Smile
I'm sorry DefenderX, your builds give me a performance loss in comparison to Vlakipn or the original builds.
Also, the audio is weird, it's at a really low tune.

oh bulldozer

it looks like Intels Compiler still cripples AMD...
defenderX should answer this... iam not into compiler

Last I checked ICC stands for INTEL c++ compiler. They do not have to optimize their compiler for amd specific instructions, nor should they. I am so sick and tired of hearing the amd fanbase complain that this is unfair. If you think so then just use a different compiler!

As for the OP. You shouldn't be seeing a big difference in performance between unoptimized, intel optimized, and amd optimized builds. It more likely had to do with the revision.
