Emulated motion controls help - matt17 - 04-12-2012

Hello, I'm having trouble with emulated motion controls. I'm using a PS2 remote, which works fine. All the main wiimote buttons work fine, but I can't set the motion controls right. I'm playing No More Heroes, and it requires me to swing the wiimote up, down, left, or right, to finish off an enemy. everytime I get to this part, it never works. I set the swing controls, to be on the right analog of the ps2 remote.
screenshot of settings:

note: IR, shake, and tilt are all on default, except swing.

Also, when I need to swing the wiimote left and right to charge the character's weapon, nothing happens, even on default settings with keyboard/mouse controls.

Help is appreciated

When you move the stick does the grey dot turn red and start moving, or does it sit in the middle being grey?

It seems to work right on the settings, but in the games, it doesn't work properly. Are there any bad combinations, like if you had ir, shake, and swing all on at the same time, it wont work right?
Im not really sure whwat IR is. maybe I need to set IR to the stick also, which I haven't done. then try putting swing to the same analog stick.

The IR is what controls the Wiimote's cursor on the screen.
