Help! / DSP LLE [twilight princess] - kkc1945 - 04-10-2012

Hello guys,

so I heard that if twilight princess[wii version] is using with DSP LLE there are no slowdowns anymore. So I did extracted these files and now I have "dsp_coef and dsp_rom" files on my pc but I do not know what I have to do now? I have also read the "tutorial" but didn't understand anything at all. Can somebody help me step by step, please?Angel

DSP LLE only improves the sound and sometimes, it's required to play a game properly. But i don't think, that LLE reduces slowdowns ^^ LLE needs a lot of CPU power instead of HLE.

But okay... put the two files in Dolphin/Sys/GC or Dolphin/User/GC and check under "DSP" the "DSP LLE Recompiler".

It is extremely worser than before! Previous I had 27-30 fps and now 16 fps :

All it does is make it sound "better" I don't know why you thought it would make it faster >.>

Just use HLE. You don't need LLE for TP.
Also, get a newer version of Dolphin, you're using an old one.

I know that's an old version but you know why I'm using this one ? - because it's faster with this version. I really don't know why it is so but some older versions for example r7718 or r7719 are much better than the newest versions.

RE: Help! / DSP LLE [twilight princess] - DefenderX - 04-10-2012

Well, try the newest git version of dolphin and compare the performance. Maybe the older revision is faster, but is it more stable and more compatible? I don't think so.

btw: Perhaps you're interested in ICC opzimized builds. This builds (e.g my own builds Big Grin) are compiled with different ICC instructions. This can cause a little FPS boost Wink

no gain on old cpu's.... the old builds are still really fast... not compareable
