Does my Mac stand a chance at running GC games? - Gary10 - 04-08-2012 Hi all. I've just found this emulator and couldn't be more excited. I've tried it with my copy of Smash Bros and it runs, at around 80% speed. I've posted a link to my Mac specs further down and was hoping someone could advise me if that's the best I'm going to get or if I should be able to tweak it further. I'm only interested in running GC games. Here's the specs, but I've got 4gb of ram instead. http://www.everymac.com/systems/apple/mac_mini/specs/mac-mini-core-2-duo-2.4-mid-2010-specs.html Many thanks in advance. Gary. I guess for a start I'd be happy getting Smash Bros running at GC quality, so not HD. Then if I know it's possible I'd be happy to spend many an hour trying everything out myself. RE: Does my Mac stand a chance at running GC games? - DefenderX - 04-08-2012 Yeah, your Core 2 Duo @ 2.4 GHz is not perfect, but sufficient. Most games are playable, but don't expect too much: F-Zero GX, Zelda Twilight Princess etc. are heavy games and you won't get many FPS. And your GPU is sufficient too. It should be able to handle 1.5x IR i think. |
