Zelda WW crashes - mrlion - 04-05-2012 This is something thats been driving me nuts and I really want to play Windwaker on my PC. So I get these pretty nasty crashes when the audio de-syncs especially on cutscenes. I found that the solution was to turn off audio throttle but I can't for the life of me find it on the DSP settings (this is Dolphin 3.0-552 but it also didn't work on a previous version I had I forgot which one but it was in the 3.0-4xx). Unless I'm missing something, what is going on with these crashes? It just doesn't let me play the game...perhaps it hates me? I mean why should it? RE: Zelda WW crashes - Shonumi - 04-05-2012 Recent Dolphin builds keep audio throttling in the Frame Limit option when you click on the Config button. Set it to Audio and that should enable audio throttling. Any outstanding audio issues should be fixed with LLE audio, if you aren't already using it. It crashes on both HLE and LLE so yeah it does fix a lot of games but for me not on this particular one... RE: Zelda WW crashes - Shonumi - 04-05-2012 Does the audio still de-sync and then crash when using LLE? Or does it just crash outright with no signs of trouble? Also it'd be helpful too if you posted your system specs and your complete Dolphin configuration. Yeah it de-syncs and then it crashes on both engines HLE and LLE Phenom II X4 820 OC'd to 3.5 ghz 4 GB RAM 1 TB HDD Radeon 6850 1 GB DX9 1920 x 1080 2x Native 4x SSAA 16x AF Scaled EFB Copy Skip EFB Access from CPU EFB Copies to Texture Disable Fog Widescreen Hack Now that you mentioned that the Audio Throttle is actually on the Frameskip that might work...its set to Auto right now I can set it to 60 and see if that works. RE: Zelda WW crashes - LordVador - 04-05-2012 Or you can use Dolphin 3.0 and disable Audio Throttle in DSP settings. Btw the official release is perfect for this game RE: Zelda WW crashes - Zee530 - 04-05-2012 Do you really need the widescreen hack? >.> RE: Zelda WW crashes - mrlion - 04-05-2012 (04-05-2012, 09:05 PM)LordVador Wrote: Or you can use Dolphin 3.0 and disable Audio Throttle in DSP settings. Btw the official release is perfect for this game I don't know what you mean by "official release is perfect for this game" ....I could get Dolphin 3.0 but the thing is...I shouldn't...I don't want two versions one just for the use of one game, there has to be a solution to what is going on with the current version. RE: Zelda WW crashes - DefenderX - 04-05-2012 With the "official release" he means the Dolphin 3.0 release. http://www.dolphin-emu.org/download.html Just look under "Releases" RE: Zelda WW crashes - mrlion - 04-06-2012 (04-05-2012, 11:51 PM)DefenderX Wrote: With the "official release" he means the Dolphin 3.0 release. Ah I see...well I did try the frameskip to 60 and its been doing well just that I posted this thread late last night and I just fell asleep so I'll play it extensively tonight. |
