3.0 and the internal resolution - haddockd - 04-05-2012 Probably a dumb question, but my PC can easily handle 4x IR but 3.0 doesn't seem to have it natively. Newer builds do, but I was wondering if there was a tweak I can do inside any of the ini's to "force" 3.0 to see a 4x IR...? If it is hard coded, then "it is what it is", but IMHO there is a pretty big difference in image quality from 3 to 4x IR so any help is appreciated. As always, thanks for the help! RE: 3.0 and the internal resolution - DefenderX - 04-05-2012 Afaik it's not possible. RE: 3.0 and the internal resolution - Zee530 - 04-05-2012 Set IR to auto window size and adjust your screen resolution to match 4x IR, usually about 2560x2112 or so RE: 3.0 and the internal resolution - haddockd - 04-05-2012 (04-05-2012, 02:54 AM)Zee530 Wrote: Set IR to auto window size and adjust your screen resolution to match 4x IR, usually about 2560x2112 or so I have looked in the Dolphin and Dx9 ini files and I do not see those options. Maybe they are named cryptically? RE: 3.0 and the internal resolution - DefenderX - 04-05-2012 Look here: Dolphin/User/Config/Dolphin.ini look for this. Quote:RenderWindowWidth = Here you have to add the 2560x2112. (Pls correct me if am wrong, thx.) RE: 3.0 and the internal resolution - Zee530 - 04-05-2012 Well i'm not sure about the windowed rez, i was talking about the fullscreen resolution though, found under the graphics -> general tab RE: 3.0 and the internal resolution - haddockd - 04-05-2012 (04-05-2012, 04:51 AM)DefenderX Wrote: Look here: I did see that, but it did not match what was currently selected in my properties, so I ignored it. Can anyone confirm that these are the values I need to "force" to have 3.0 utilize 4x IR. Or does anyone know a good reason I should not be messing with it in the first place? ![]() RE: 3.0 and the internal resolution - Garteal - 04-05-2012 Quote:Here you have to add the 2560x2112. (Pls correct me if am wrong, thx.)You're wrong. This is for the Dolphin window in windowed mode. It is hardcoded. Why do you need 3.0? The newer builds are pretty solid IMO. Mainly for compatibility, specifically for Wind Waker. I have read time and time again that it is issue free for that version. If it is hard coded, then there you go. Thanks Garteal. RE: 3.0 and the internal resolution - Runo - 04-07-2012 Yes, it's supposed to be as "issue free" as possible. But then again it's becoming pretty old now, there are some newer builds that have even more accurate emulation then 3.0. |
