Running Xenoblade - OSheaman - 03-29-2012 Hi, So my computer is a little bit older but still able to run games like Galaxy/Kirby Epic Yarn. I am curious whether Xenoblade: Chronicles would be doable, though. I looked through a bunch of other threads and I didn't see any similar specs, so I'm not sure whether this is going to run for me. Current specs:
A few things: I don't need super-ultra-awesome HD on this, I just want it to run fairly smoothly. I have the latest build of Dolphin and would be more than happy to follow whatever instructions people have been using to tweak the settings and run Xenoblade smoothly. I'm not very smart about the details of this but anything that needs to be downloaded and/or changed I'm willing to do, obviously. Would it be possible for me to run Xenoblade in this setup? If not, what (in your opinions) is the cheapest path (eg. upgrade GPU, processor, whatever) for me to upgrade my comp to a minimum acceptable level for the game to run smoothly? Thanks! RE: Running Xenoblade - Zee530 - 03-29-2012 Run? Yes Fullspeed? No. Xenoblade is heavy, i3 2130 (cheap) may get job done RE: Running Xenoblade - Garteal - 03-29-2012 Is that an E8400? The game will run pretty smoothly in the first few parts of the game. Your performance will probably fluctuate depending on the environment when there are a lot of monsters and party members onscreen. The biggest issue would be that you will most likely encounter audio issues with the game. IIRC, one way to resolve them is to skip time. Search in the forums (particularily the game thread) for possible solutions. Check out the Wiki aswell. |
