Advice on my PC and dolphin's config - EmirSc - 03-28-2012 I new at this so i just config like the performance option http://www.dolphin-emu.org/performance.html My pc E6700 @3.6 GTX 460 1GB 3GB RAM WIN 7 32bits games tried Mario Galaxy 1 and 2 Kirby epic yarn New Super Mario Bros Wii the question is i like the performance on the performance settings but, its looks too choppy any idea what config my system will pull out without losing too many fps? THANX!
RE: Advice on my PC and dolphin's config - Shonumi - 03-28-2012 That link is outdated, but it's a place to start. Check out the Dolphin Wiki for info on specific games. EDIT: nvm, what Starscream said. Still, I know you said you configured Dolphin just like the link, but if you're using a newer version of Dolphin, some settings have changed. It would help if you could post your settings as text or as a screenshot. Additionally, what speeds are you getting now? With your specs, Kirby Epic Yarn and NSMB should run fine. SMG games need a heavily overclocked Sandy Bridge chip to run at full-speed with LLE audio (which is needed in some parts, I think). RE: Advice on my PC and dolphin's config - Starscream - 03-28-2012 Often times you can click the users name and see some info that they posted in their profile, like Dolphin version and PC specs. You can safely turn those two off. Could you be more accurate about how your games look "choppy"? If it's a graphical problem, providing screenshots would help us to determine the cause. You said the games were "choppy", so I'm assuming it lags. You still haven't told us what speeds you're getting. However, some people describe their games as "choppy" when the screen appears to tear, in which case you should enable v-sync. RE: Advice on my PC and dolphin's config - AnyOldName3 - 03-29-2012 So choppy as in slow. Like Shonumi said, most of your settings look fine, but I would expect more speed than you're getting. RE: Advice on my PC and dolphin's config - EmirSc - 03-29-2012 yeah thats the problem what can i do to improve that fps and get the 100% speed RE: Advice on my PC and dolphin's config - DefenderX - 03-29-2012 You can try to overclock your CPU anymore. Or you can use ICC optimized builds (i'm compiling ICC builds -> http://forums.dolphin-emu.org/showthread.php?tid=22570). RE: Advice on my PC and dolphin's config - Garteal - 03-29-2012 Try build 6285 (32-bits) and see if that improves your performance. You should also download RealTemp and monitor your CPU temps on idle and when you've played Kirby for 30~ mins. That way we can tell if your CPU is throttling due to the heat. |
