Then it isn't a watchdog problem, could it be possible that the problem might be caused by a slightly earlier commit?
I'm still in need of testing 3396 and i'm unable to compile anything now, since i have a couple of size problems with the xp64 partition and can't install anything, not counting my shitty connection, and that i have an exam tomorrow.

If someone uploaded rev 3396 x64 here i would be able to determine if this is really caused by your commit and end this possible misunderstanding.

My video card is definitely not the cause here.

Ok, it is your commit, I downloaded this 3374 rev with your framelimiter patch, Brawl went slow again (not in fps, but actual game speed), no matter if i tried lowering resolution, disabling antialiasing or anything, it's the same.

Can't you at least make the watchdog ajust itself to 15 when the framelimiter is disabled?

yeah, omegadox stated that the gpu side of dc needs to be more optimized, because in older revisions, some people got 729/729 mhz of the wii cpu, but were lagging at 15 fps because the gpu side (core 2) couldn't keep up with core 1, the cpu side.

RE: Same FPS, slower games? - CacoFFF - 06-26-2009

Of course, i nearly forgot that big part of the wii gpu is emulated, and with the cpu is the one doing some of the tasks, so video card has little to do here.
Say, the vertex loaders are a part of the gpu core, aren't they?

RE: Same FPS, slower games? - boogerlad - 06-26-2009

core 1 is the wii cpu, and core 2 is the wii gpu. The computer's gpu just listens to what core 2 tells it to do.

i could, but i have no access to svn.

also you would make many people mad with that, as it would actually slow down many games for people with faster graphics cards.

for me it would slowdown 6 out of the 7 games i got by 5-10% and only speedup SSBM which allready runs at fullspeed even at watchdog60.

i dont think its a good idea Tongue

an option to lower it for those low-gpu users would be nice of course.

hmm I was wondering why naruto looked great yet ran in slowmo while beeing at 30-40 frames in the most recent build

RE: Same FPS, slower games? - Iulius - 06-27-2009

hey, dont compare with newest build.

nolan even went a step ahead and with rev 3545.

now you REALLY have high fps while game stays the same speed as before.

dont blame me for this, thx.
