Using a Real GC Pad - Naru200man - 03-06-2012 Is it possible to use a real gamecube controller while running dolphin, like how you can run a real wii remote using dolphin? I'm fine when playing games like Clash of Ninja, but in Luigi's mansion I can't play for shit because using the keyboard controls are just too...awkward. I would like to know how to either A: Play the game using a wavebird wireless controler or B: burn the image to a disk and run it on my wii. Note that I'm new to homebrew and whatnot so yeah...detailed as possible explaining either of those.. RE: Using a Real GC Pad - ulao - 03-06-2012 There are a number of GC adapters out there. Very few support full analogs (pressure buttons) and rumble though. The adapters I make do it all ( see sig ). Most of the common types found googling do not support rumble. RE: Using a Real GC Pad - Naru200man - 03-06-2012 I don't need to do it all, and certainly not for that much (No offence though since you do make the product by hand :/ ) I just need a GC adapter to the USB. Found one on amizon where I can actually get my money back if it doesn't work. Don't feel like spending that much money from some random company. Reading the reviews of the product on Amazon sound pretty promising, it's a three in one controler and the compatability on the manufacturer site says it's good for all/most gamecube games and games that use gamecube controller on wii ![]() I don't really need rumble since my Wavebird controller doesn't have it anyway XD Thanks for the quick answer though...and here I thought people were just trolling when they all tell me stuff like "google is your friend" XP RE: Using a Real GC Pad - ulao - 03-07-2012 LOL, although its unheard of, If I had to return it, its MB guaranteed. No offence taken, I dont do this for income just the community. If you find one with a price you like let me know I more then likely have experiences with it. Sounds like you found the magic box ( trio) , I think its called. That one may give you trouble in games like wind waker where you need the right should pressure button. RE: Using a Real GC Pad - AnyOldName3 - 03-07-2012 Slightly off topic, but a XBox 360 compatible pad would work well as Microsoft release full drivers with rumble and analogue support. You could get a third party XBox controller for not much, and you could guarantee it would work, so may be a simpler option. |
