Offloading proccessing to GFX card? - Goof245 - 06-12-2009 Just wondering if it would be possible to execute the graphics instructions on the actual graphics card (maybe with CUDA?), leaving the CPU free to only emulate the CPU - specific code. Is this feasible or even possible, or am I just talking nonsense?
RE: Offloading proccessing to GFX card? - jasong - 06-12-2009 Think the consensus is that they are already offloading as much as possible to the gpu. RE: Offloading proccessing to GFX card? - abfab126 - 06-12-2009 Yep , I dont think the shaders and stuff are processed by the CPU ^^ RE: Offloading proccessing to GFX card? - nosound97 - 06-12-2009 Implementing CUDA would make Dolphin run really slow... RE: Offloading proccessing to GFX card? - ector - 06-13-2009 We've already moved pretty much everything that can be moved to the gfx card. RE: Offloading proccessing to GFX card? - Goof245 - 06-13-2009 Fair enough, thx for the quick replies
