Help with Dolphin Setup?? - fraterlii - 03-25-2011

How's it going everyone,

What is the most current, up to date version of dolphin to run on my pc? I can't seem to find a straight answer to this anywhere. A link would be appreciated.

Also, I am trying to just basically see what games my laptop is able to run, and so far I have only tried running Metroid: Other M, and the framerate is pretty bad. I am trying to run at 1920x1080. The following information are my hardware specs:

intel core i7-720qm
8gb ram
nvidia geforce gts 360m (1gb Vram)
500 gb hdd

Can anyone point me in the right direction concerning configuration, dsp, and graphics settings? I have already run through the "quick and dirty" setup on dolphin's website, but this does not seem to be solving the issue.

Any help is immensely appreciated!

Generally, make sure efb copy is set to texture, use the dx9 video backend and set efb scale to 1x, not fractional.

where is the option to use the dx9 video backend, and how do I set the efb scale? The only option I see that lists a 1x is the anisotropic filtering option under graphics.

Also, is it best to use the PAL or NTSC versions of .iso files while playing?

Some games may or may not run better depending on NTSC or PAL. In most cases it really shouldn't matter.
