Please help, Which LEDs shall I use for sensor bar - there's many, red, white, blue,.. - souravstar - 03-21-2011

Which ones are infrared? - The ones which looks transparent when not glowing? However I'm using 2 LEDs on both sides with a 9volt battery.
I actually bought 10 red and 10 transparent, and only 1 transparent and 1 red of them give proper light so I have to buy more.

I used candles till now but now it's summer and fans blows off candles.

Infrared LED's light only be seen through a camera/webcam/mobile phone (colour are no matter here) ,normal LED's light can be seen with your eyes

and try ir-remotes
use 1 candle
on the other side a remote with pressed button.
and try your wiimote
if it works the led is good dismantle it
