Youtube is too harsh - monkey9926 - 05-27-2009

Every single one of my 9 youtube vids got removed a few weeks ago for no apparent reason other than "violating the terms of use" Confused . Post what u think here and please vote in the poll. All opinions appreciated.

It could be due to copyrighted music being used, or being dupes from a creator.
You could upload these onto DailyMotion, theyre relatively lenient (unless we see what the videos are like, we wouldnt get anyway why they were taken down, since you provided little detail).

Well I was surprised when Walrusguy (the famous YTP'er) won over Colgate when they got his account suspended for using their Dr. Rabbit stuff. I guess it was because he used only a tiny part of the videos every time, like when you quote someone then it's legal even though taking the whole thing is not allowed. Never had any problems with my piano songs played along with Nintendo tracks.

What exactly did you upload?

RE: Youtube is too harsh - monkey9926 - 05-28-2009

well i posted some how-to vids for this one prize site called prizerebel. Loads of people do it and the site even encourages posting vids on youtube and they really work. I guess i took it kind of hard but 9 vids in 2 weeks and a 6 month account warning is pretty harsh Sad . People who dont upload just dont understand........

Lame of youtube to remove and warn if they just don't like to promote money-making sites (many sites dislike them, but so what when they're legal). The place is filled with adds for other stuff anyway.
