optimized FPS - manslayer867 - 02-28-2011 i just downloaded this emulator and followed the guide on the main page. however while trying to play zelda wind waker i noticed the fps dropping to around 37-40% and the game would lag dramatically. i was wondering if anyone could help me optimize my settings to keep the game roughly around 75-80%+. my system specs are nvidia geforce GTS 360M (1GB) i5 processor 2.27 ghz able to boost to 3.2ghz 4 gigs RAM any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks in advance. RE: optimized FPS - NaturalViolence - 02-28-2011 We need a full readout of your settings. RE: optimized FPS - manslayer867 - 02-28-2011 lets see im running the r7036 build of dolphin my general basic settings are ... enable dual core enable idle skipping frame limit: auto skip GC bios JIT recompiler display settings ... video backend: direct 3d9 FS display res: 1280x720 window size 1280x720 render to main window audio... DSP HLE emulation enable DTK Music Graphics... adapter: nvidia geforce GTS 360M aspect ratio: auto anisotropic Filtering: 1x anti aliasing: none load native mipmaps EFB Scaled Force Bi/Trilinear Filtering copy is set to enable to RAM in advanced... is disable fog thats all i got =s RE: optimized FPS - NaturalViolence - 02-28-2011 First of all switch to this build: 32 bit: http://cid-b8ece3275d590dda.office.live.com/self.aspx/.Public/Dolphin/Dolphin%20x86%20SVN%20Revision%207236.7z 64 bit: http://cid-b8ece3275d590dda.office.live.com/self.aspx/.Public/Dolphin/Dolphin%20x64%20SVN%20Revision%207236.7z And change efb copy to texture. I'm guessing you already have audio throttle off since you didn't list it, that's another important one. RE: optimized FPS - manslayer867 - 03-02-2011 i did what you said but for some reason every time i go into game the efb copy switches back to ram. is it supposed to do this? and is there any way to increase the VPS as well? RE: optimized FPS - NaturalViolence - 03-02-2011 Quote:every time i go into game the efb copy switches back to ram Right click the game in dolphin and go to game properties. Make sure all the boxes are filled in but not checked. |
