Norton False Readings about Dolphin? - caramba2654 - 02-23-2011 I downloaded the .exe Dolphin installer and Norton recognized it as a virus. I know Dolphin is a trustful emulator, so it download also is. So my question is: Has anyone hacked into the installer and put a virus or is MediaFire putting a virus in the installer? RE: Norton False Readings about Dolphin? - KHRZ - 02-23-2011 Where did you download it from? Dolphin doesn't come with an installer (Edit: As in, from where were you linked to mediafire) RE: Norton False Readings about Dolphin? - caramba2654 - 02-23-2011 http://www.dolphin-emu.org/download.html I clicked on the last one (because the other ones are patches, right?) for Win 64bit. The it didn't started the download. So I clicked to link and it went to MediaFire. RE: Norton False Readings about Dolphin? - KHRZ - 02-23-2011 There has been false positives before, I'm guessing you get warnings because it's a self extracting file, which it probably isn't able to check the content from. RE: Norton False Readings about Dolphin? - caramba2654 - 02-23-2011 So it's safe anyways. Thanks for the info! That "Release Candidate" is something like 2000 revisions old, there have been significant enhancements since then... I suggest you download a newer version. |
