Mac-Mini performance tweaking - DXBLouie - 02-01-2011 Hello everyone. i've managed to get dolphin to work on my fairly powerful windows PC complete with Wiimotes and it ran Zelda the Twilight princess at full speed, full HD.. it's great ![]() now i have an older Mac-Mini (1.6Ghz, 2GB RAM) in the living room running a media server.. and i loved the idea of using it instead of the Wii, given the HD advantage admittedly it's a rather weak computer, and i'm curious if it can be made to work does anybody have any tips to share? Thanks in advance! Louie RE: Mac-Mini performance tweaking - Ocean - 02-01-2011 It wont work, plain and simple. The mini's have an integrated gpu and the cpu clock frequency is too low. I got a 2.4ghz macbook with gt320m and it can somewhat run games at 1280x800 on the latest osx builds, but with no eye candy or efb scaling. Mario galaxy, zelda etc. lag a bit though. Tbh I wouldn't bother using a mac for dolphin unless you have a desktop imac which at least have half-decent non integrated graphics cards like ati 4870 RE: Mac-Mini performance tweaking - DXBLouie - 02-01-2011 ah well.. it was worth a try ![]() i just thought it'd be brilliant having the mac mini in the living room double as a Wii HD! |
