[GC] NFL 2K3 - andyo70 - 01-31-2011

This game actually plays very well and at full speed. I'm currently running it on Windows x64 version r6931.

There's one problem though. After the Intro vids it gets to the Sportscenter video and you can press start to go to the main screen. During this time I get an error message that says:

Then a second error pops up that says this:

[Image: nfl2k3error2.jpg]

Now the emulator doesn't actually hang or crash as the first error predicts. I can actually continue into the game but certain sounds such as button presses start looping constantly making the game unbearable to play with the sound on.

Here is a video I made that demonstrates the issue I'm having. You'll hear what I mean when it happens. As I said the game runs fullspeed but Fraps hogs resources something terrible so the FPS and audio kind of stutters in the vid.

Any idea how to remedy this?

Single Core mode might get rid of the error. Or try turning off Panic Handlers.

To fix the sound looping, try using the LLE recompiler.

Not a Dual Core issue. Get the same error either way. Turning off Panic Handlers resolved the pop ups.

Using LLE plugin gives me new errors.

If I select 'No' everything just seems to freeze and I don't know what to do next after select 'Yes' to fix it.

I figured out how to fix it. I needed to get dsp_rom.bin and dsp_coef.bin and put them into the "/Sys/GC" folder of the emulator.

This has resolved the looping. Along with turning off Panic Handlers, I'd say this games status should be updated. It really plays very very well. Gonna test it a bit more, but definitely is playable.
