Hi Res Texture question - ayami6969 - 01-30-2011 So I know Dolphin can load Hi Res textures if the community makes them for a game. My question is can Hi Res textures be used to translate a game? For example would it be possible to use the Hi Res texture loading to change menu items or game dialogue from Japanese to English? Or, with a game like PunchOut!! where the opponents all speak in their native language and there's no on screen translation at all, would it be possible to add an on screen translation using the loading of Hi Res textures? RE: Hi Res Texture question - Runo - 01-30-2011 Im not sure about changing the menus and etc, I dont think so but as I said Im not sure. About using it to make subtitles to the speech I'd say no, you cant, because a diferent texture would have to be "called" everytime a character speaks. |
