Backdoor.SinoWal.CJ in dolphin? - So-boy - 05-22-2009 i just downloaded the dolphin ver3089.However,Bit-defender keep saying that 2 object in the file are infected by backdoor.sinoWal.CJ.I just want to know if this software is safe to install or NOT. RE: Backdoor.SinoWal.CJ in dolphin? - nosound97 - 05-22-2009 It should be safe :S RE: Backdoor.SinoWal.CJ in dolphin? - death-droid - 05-22-2009 There is no malicious coding in the official dolphin-emu svn. It must be a problem with the one you have downloaded. RE: Backdoor.SinoWal.CJ in dolphin? - DacoTaco - 05-22-2009 where did you download it from? RE: Backdoor.SinoWal.CJ in dolphin? - KHRZ - 05-23-2009 There was another topic about this, it's from the official site and people suggests it could be the netplay code being detected as malicious. It has no Netplay. Umm I'm thinking it is from a Update to Anti Viruses. (or Dolphin had some sort of Timed Trojan. ~.~) This was just Today, on Both Dolphin and DolphinIL EXE's. http://www.virustotal.com/analisis/fc96b8a145e9cab4d09be531903a43fd65672db192b37dff02dbad48a03cdd2f-1242918484 This was from DolphinIL.exe (Which I downloaded from the Mainsite a few weeks ago, before the Netplay, so there goes that idea) (Also I used DolphinIL because Avast automatically ate the normal Dolphin.exe) ...Also My SVN 3081 does not have this "Trojan" Explain plox. >_> RE: Backdoor.SinoWal.CJ in dolphin? - Xtreme2damax - 05-23-2009 It sounds like a recent update to your anti-virus is causing the false positives, and wrongly flagging Dolphin as a Trojan/Virus. Contact your anti-virus vendor and inform them of this problem, this is not a problem with Dolphin or the coding of Dolphin nor do I believe the false detection is specific to Dolphin. RE: Backdoor.SinoWal.CJ in dolphin? - LuisR14 - 05-25-2009 it can also lead to believe that some coding of dolphin is wrong , and that maybe if fixed then (hardly, or strangely ) dolphin would get some bugs fixed
RE: Backdoor.SinoWal.CJ in dolphin? - shuffle2 - 05-25-2009 If I had to guess I'd say it's the bba stuff (which interfaces with a virtual net device). If not that, then i have no clue. Doesn't matter anyways...there's no virus(es) in dolphin, so chill out :p |
