Slowdown/audio problems - ryuhimora - 01-23-2011

I'm running Dolphin r6894 on an Intel Pentium D Dual-Core with two gigabytes of DDR2 RAM and an Nvidia ENGT220. I'm trying to run Pokemon XD Gale of Darkness.

The fastest I've ever gotten it is 55% when there's nothing but black. If I activate Dual-Core compatibility, the speed drops to 38%. However, the audio (except during the Pokemon Company and Genius screens) is absolutely perfect and gets far ahead of the video. There is some weird graphics stuff during battles but I can live with that.

Here's what I have on:
Idle Skipping
Skip GC BIOS
JIT Recompiler
Render to Main Window
Force 4:3
Load Native MipMaps
EFB Scale Fractional
Copy EFB to Texture
Accurate Texture Cache Fast
Disable Fog

If you want to eliminate the slowdowns you will have to upgrade your cpu, it's as simple as that. A pentium D at any clock rate is not sufficient for dolphin (unless it's one of the new low end core 2 duos that they call "pentium D").
