Help - Possible Fixes For Some Improvement - grud315 - 01-20-2011 I've currently started to use the Dolphin emulator and find that it indeed works and loads games as promised, so with that I have no issues. But every game I play is running very slowly, and I'd like to know if the parts in my computer are good enough to run Dolphin. From experience, I feel that these are definitely not enough, but I'd like the opinion from people in the emulating community as well. Windows 7 32-bit OS AMD Turion Dual-Core RM-70 2.00 GHz 3.00 GB RAM (2.75 GB usable) NVIDIA GeForce 8200M G (The nail in the coffin for getting this to work in my opinion.) I seriously doubt I can get games to run well on my PC, but I'm up for opinions. Super Paper Mario seems to be the best running Wii game I have, and it fluxes from 4 FPS to 25 during gameplay. Even then, some graphical features are missing, such as the Mini Marios that run around him with a certain powerup, as well as the pipe entering/leaving animation. DKC Returns flat out gives me discolored graphics and pitches around 5 FPS. Thoughts? You need a new desktop pc with sandy bridge cpu, a decent graphics card (460gtx for example) an 64 bit os and you are set. If you get the above you will wonder why you even bothered trying to run dolphin at that laptop. RE: Help - Possible Fixes For Some Improvement - dannzen - 01-21-2011 2GHZ is your Cap... at 2.5GHZ i3 i got 80-100% fps in some games with 3.8GHZ 100% in every game there is nothing to do... just use rev.6505 its at the moment one of the fastest |
