suddenly VPU recover errors? - mataku - 01-13-2011 I've been using r6800 (my first ever experience with this fine program) for the past 2 days now and everything was working fine, but today i tried running games that worked up until yesterday and i keep getting a freeze then vpu recover error. Naturally i assumed it was something to do with my graphics card (hd5850) so i checked other emulators (pcsx2) and heavy pc 3d games (black ops,bad company 2) and everything ran fine with those, so i'm back to assuming there's something wrong with dolphin again, even tho it doesn't seem to make sense.I'm using the Direct3d9 plugin and the opengl one. games that i played were 'sonic colors' and 'super monkey ball' help would be appreciated. RE: suddenly VPU recover errors? - Starscream - 01-13-2011 You obviously changed a setting that made things not work the same, but since you did not list any settings, there is no way for anyone to know. RE: suddenly VPU recover errors? - mataku - 01-13-2011 i definitely did not change any settings. they are in the default. I played some sonic colors last night, went to sleep, woke up, tried running a new game (Super monkey ball banana blitz) and it ran okay, but when i tried to close the emulation window it caused a vpu recover. i assumed that it was a problem with THAT game, so i just restarted my computer and decided not to try that game again, but then i tried my other games, and all of them started giving me the error. RE: suddenly VPU recover errors? - NaturalViolence - 01-13-2011 Try revision 6505. RE: suddenly VPU recover errors? - mataku - 01-13-2011 have you figured out my problem that you would recommend that? I'll try that revision, but... not to be a nuisance, but when something happens that doesn't make sense to me, I'd like to know why it happened, so if you can explain it to me that would be great. something that works one day and doesn't work the next... it just drives me crazy. RE: suddenly VPU recover errors? - NaturalViolence - 01-13-2011 Can you get on irc? If you can I would ask the devs if I were you: Network: efnet Channel: #dolphin-emu I simply suggested an older build because I have no idea what the problem is, I have never seen anyone get that error message before so therefore I must naturally assume that the problem has something to do with a change that was made in a recent revision. It's just a guess, I have no idea what the actual problem is. RE: suddenly VPU recover errors? - mataku - 01-13-2011 it seems to be working okay now, maybe it just needed some time to cool off or something :| it does seem a bit slower tho (sonic colors seems to be working at 85% speed when it was 100% before) well, as long as it's working. RE: suddenly VPU recover errors? - mataku - 01-13-2011 and it happened again, again while i was trying to close the emulation window (after the game itself ran fine). the problem probably lies there... RE: suddenly VPU recover errors? - NaturalViolence - 01-13-2011 TELL THE DEVS Either get on irc or open an issue on googlecode about it. |
