[Mario Kart Wii] Splitscreen Performance? - Devilclaws - 01-12-2011

Hi, I have a Q9400 @ 3.2 ghz and have gts250 but when I go to the 2 player mode on MarioKart I only 45 FPS.
is that now the CPU or the GPU?
In single player mode is it stable 60 FPS!
Is there any patch or something to speed up?
should I go about overclocking?

your cpu is enough i got phenom 2 x4 965 3.4 at stock clock i got full speed i play on older revision new one are slower cause they work in fifo what are the revision you using and throw all the pic of the setting and i will help you to get full speed

by the way i using 6042 64bits

be sure to put enable efb to texture not ram it more accurate but it slow games but that revision is not the best but it work well for me try it

Yeh, that's normal. More stuff is happening on the screen, so the emulator gets slower. It gets even worse when the screen is divided into four.

Wow, I wish I had a PC like yours. If the above suggestions don't work for you, you can try completely disabling "enable efb to ..." option. I get a speedup with that but shaders that give the game a nice, shiny look will get disabled. The black box glitch doesn't seem to appear in split-screen mode.

yea expect to lose FPS when you add a 2nd player on mario kart. Try running it with 4 Tongue
Same goes for many games like Mario brawl. 4 players slows me down a bit on my laptop where as just 2 players make it run smooth.

Devilclaws, your CPU is more powerful than your GPU. It's your GPU that's causing lower/slower fps.

Not true at all. A GTS 250 can handle 1080p with fractional or 3x efb scaling in any game no problem. Unless he's using 3x efb + 4xSSAA he won't get a bottleneck from that gpu.
