User Review of Dolphin 6746 - AllenSword - 01-10-2011
It's been a long time since I publically reviewed a revision of dolphin, but now I think it's time to do it again. With the revision 6746, I experimented with two different systems and got both pleasing and disappointing results. The first system I tried was my HP Laptop. This system has a dual core processor, and could only run dolphin at 46% in game. Needless to say I was upset, so I finally tried the program on my desktop I built. This system has a quad core processor, and ran dolphin perfectly, 100%, almost no graphics problems. Now, I understand that my laptop may not be beefed up enough for dolphin, and that's okay. What I found confusing was since revision 6470 (and I've downloaded the most recent versions to be sure) Metroid Prime 2 Echoes won't run if dual core is enabled, even on my desktop. It crashes the program, just something I wanted people to know. The second thing I'm a bit down about is the game Goldeneye Rouge Agent. It can run, but not without major graphics glitches and sound blips. But I don't want to sound ungrateful, infact the opposite. I'm extremely happy with the state dolphin is in, and am amazed at the progress that has been made since my last review. I give this version a 8.7/10, and ask if anyone can recommend to me a laptop that can play dolphin like my desktop.

Reviews are better used for finished products, not emulation projects that are always changing and that are under heavy development. I'll let others answer your "is my PC good enough or what PC will be better" questions.
